On the full moon day of Margashirsha the banquet of Datta Jayanti is praised. In old times there was an extremely severe rishi called Atri. He was accepted to be the mental child of Brahmadev, on the grounds that he had been conceived from the quality of Brahmadev's eyes. His wife's name was Anasuya, who was a model of matrimonial devotion.
In paradise Naradmuni used to educate the divine beings extremely fascinating stories concerning Anasuya's loyalty to her spouse. This incited the envy of Sarasvati, Laxmi, and Parvati, who chose to bring down Anasuya's notoriety. They sent Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shankar or Shiva) to earth with the end goal of realizing her disrespect.
Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh turned into three visitors, and seeing that Atri was not in his house, they knocked at the entryway. Anasuya immediately respected the visitors. She got nourishment primed for them and asked for them to have a dinner. At that point they said that they might consume just on one condition. The interesting condition was that Anasuya ought to serve them the nourishment without any garments on.
The Three Babies
Anasuya was puzzled. At the same time in a trice she thought about an answer, and by the force of her brain she transformed the three visitors into little children. The infants started to holler. She kept them in a support and with extraordinary affection she started to shake them.
There was an uproar in paradise. The three wives of the divine beings. Sarasvati, Laxmi and Parvati got bothered. "In the event that the three incredible divine beings get little children, who will assume ownership the universe?"
Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh were sad and requested Anasuya's absolution. The type of three children kept a molecule of their being in the house of that devoted wife and they came back to paradise.
Anasuya named the three infants, Som, Datta, and Durvas. When they grew up Som went to the moon, and Durvas went to the wilderness to do compensation. When leaving both of them kept their molecule of being with Datta. Consequently Datta turned into the joined together avatar of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.
